The world’s a stage

Previous

I hold the world but as the world
A stage
Upon which each player
Struts and frets
About whether they
Will remember their lines
And whether their lines
Are better than others
And whether others think
Their lines are better
And about the damned costume
They’re wearing –
And how it looks and how it fits
And how fit they’d like to look
As long as they don’t have to actually
Be fit or change anything about
What they do or how they live –
And how they fit in
And who’s play is it
And who loves them
And who doesn’t
